Who We Are
Welcome To Our Blog
This blog is a tribute to all the nerds out there who get that one thing that they can’t help but obsess over. Whether it’s ancient artwork, military planes, weird health anomalies, or obscure languages. This is where it comes together.
The people behind this blog are such nerds.
I’m Sam – I studied Chinese at university, hoping for a career, and discovered my obsession: international relations. Especially anything to do with a potential war. My main obsession is Sino-Russian relations, especially in relation to the UK and the US. I prefer anything military based, but the socio-cultural aspect is surprisingly relevant.
My partner, Charlie – he studied Arabic at university, wanting a challenge, and Christ did he get it. But still, he rose to the challenge and earned a 1st for his BA(Hons) degree. He’s lived in Jordan, and spent time in Egypt, Dubai, and the UAE. He has developed a well-rounded understanding of the Middle East, and has a remarkable knack for explaining complicated issues. The hope is that he will write a few articles later on, but in the meantime I’ll be writing most of the posts.
I’m going to set up a YouTube channel called Academic Research, so there will be videos available as well as these posts. If anyone has any requests for a particular field of research, just leave a message and we’ll look into it.
For now, keep studying folks. Knowledge is power, after all.

So, my first project for hereContinue reading “Suspicious Deaths Of The Romanovs”
- New Year, New Start?Long time no write, hey? I know I’m a sucker for the lapse in discipline that comes a few weeks after New Years.
